Devils Dance

Devils Dance is an 11-song LP and the next chapter for Mic City Sons. Written and recorded by James Topping, the album moves between world events, love found and lost, and the freedom of being yourself without asking permission. Bigger and more direct than Redemption, it's alt-rock built on grit, melody, and songs made to be sung back. Relesed on September 18 and available now on all platforms.

Redemption (2024)
An 11-song LP of full band alt rock with grit, melody, and late night atmosphere. Written and recorded by James Topping.

The December EP (2012)
Four tracks. Where Mic City Sons started.

Devils Dance is the new album from Mic City Sons, out now. Eleven songs of guitar and synth driven alt rock, designed to be played loud.

The record splits between guitar-forward and synth-forward songs, with Hammond B3 organ threaded through. It works through love, the long business of coming into your true self, and the damage done by leaders who treat innocent people as expendable. Written and recorded by James Topping in Melbourne, with the project now expanding beyond the studio to include drums and bass.
